Consultations Radiant Reflection

"During a Radiant Reflection session with you I receive new insights into the issues I have in my work as a helping professional. I find these sessions incredibly supportive."

--EVE SOLDINGER, L.AC., ACUPUNTURIST

Radiant Reflection is a practice of focusing on an area or issue in your life and bringing your awareness to different aspects of how it is affecting you and why you might be feeling the way you are feeling (or why you might not be conscious of how you are feeling, or disconnected from yourself in some way). It comes from a lineage of reflective practice, in which psychologists, social workers, and other helping professionals regularly take time to talk about their cases with someone who is able to help them be more effective and clearer in their service work. Often, in other fields, this kind of reflection ends after graduation; once you are out of school, you are "supposed to have it all together," yet the reality of assisting people as a healer, helper, teacher, leader, or other service worker is quite different.

Your inner sense of what is happening may be quite different from your outer expression of service. There may be responses or reactions you have that you would like to discuss and explore, and yet have no appropriate place to do this. Radiant Reflection is a place you can be curious and open to discovering more about yourself, your own unmet needs, and the ways you can take better care of yourself as you are caring for others.

The "Radiant" in "Radiant Reflection" comes from the way that Amy runs her energy during a session, bringing in spiritual energies of higher vibration to assist you in gaining more clarity and balance. Amy seeks to help you find the innate radiance in your situation and bring it forth more fully, through being able to sense your feelings, clear your mind, and be present with yourself without judgment or preconception. This can help you be more alive and "juiced" in your service work and also in your physical body and your sense of purpose and satisfaction.

A Radiant Reflection session begins with greetings and then a moment of silence deliberately entered with the intention of learning and growing, and allowing the highest flwo to unfold. During the session you describe your situation and Amy engages with you from a spiritual counseling perspective, utilizing tools including listening, open awareness, neutrality, rapport, compassion, and dialogue. Often during the conversation clients report feeling as if they are going deeper and deeper into themselves, able to perceive aspects of themselves and their patterns that had been hidden before.

Radiant Reflection is best practiced regularly. You can schedule a series of private sessions (for example, once a month for 3 or 6 months) with Amy and/or you can learn to practice this art and skill yourself in seminar trainings with Amy and then practice with peers; you begin with the Renewal seminar and continue on with Radiant Reflection seminars as you are drawn. You can also participate in group sessions when those are offered; see the Calendar for more information.
