Next Practical Steps

Here is a contemplation to use when you are not sure what to do: ask your Soul and high guides of light for your next practical steps in the situation.

Next practical steps can be small or large things. They may not be obviously practical to your logical mind, but if you receive the guidance, later you may be surprised at just how practical they turn out to be. 1. Settle down and get quiet in a place and time in which you will not be disturbed.

2. Focus on your breathing, in and out, for several cycles of inhaling and exhaling. Let your focus move to physical details like how the breath feels going in and out, the contact of your body with the chair or couch or floor, etc. Keep breathing slowly until you have the feeling of settling down and opening.

3. Say to yourself,

I am connected with my Soul.
I am a part of my Soul and my Soul is a part of me.
I ask for the connection with my Soul to grow even stronger and clearer for me right now.

4. Focus again on your breathing, as in #2, until you feel even more relaxed and open.

5. Say to yourself,

I call upon three high guides of light to hold a triangle of light about me.
I ask for your energies to help illuminate my next practical steps regarding . . .
Please help me sense clearly what the highest thoughts and actions are for this situation.

6. Sense or imagine these three high guides holding a focus of love, peace, goodwill, support, encouragement, light, and flow about you. You are in the center, safe, solid. Their light and flow is clearing the energy around you, like mist rising off a lake in the morning sun, or however you imagine it. Bathe in this light and breathe it in and out.

7. Focus again on your breathing, as in #2, relaxing and opening.

8. Whether or not you have received the answer yet as a thought or an idea, bring the session to a close. Thank your three high guides and your Soul for this focus being held for you.

9. Say to yourself,

I open and listen to my higher guidance and intuition in the perfect time and the perfect way.
